Following the successful completion and commissioning of the MultiKulti system at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, the next big step was now on the agenda: loading and transportation to the University of Duisburg-Essen. While still in Nuremberg, the reactor was loaded with the utmost care and prepared for transportation. It was important to stow all sensitive components safely in order to transport the complex technology to the new location undamaged.
After the installation and recommissioning of the plant, another sampling was carried out at the geyser in Andernach. The aim of this sampling was to obtain microbiological samples from a natural environment and thus collect valuable samples and comparative data for research on the MultiKulti system.
